If I was to do a top 10 of Toronto hardcore 7"s, there's no way in hell that this ripper would be excluded. Haz Waz's brilliant Pay EP is in my books as one of the most underrated TOHC records ever. This is dumb as hell hardcore punk by a bunch of skaters from Mississauga that were one of the most fun live bands in Toronto history. All the lyrics are about capitalism and consumerism and speaking of commodity fetishism, there's 100 of these guys on clear green vinyl with a cool screened cover and a shiny inside and another 300 on black. All have hand-stamped labels. Strangely enough, I found a green record in a non-screened sleeve, and a black one in a screened sleeve. 30 copies of this were found by one of the members just in time for the band's last show at Not Dead Yet 2012 with blank labels, and 25 copies of a NDY exclusive sleeve were made. Go try to find one of these bad boys you poseur.
